'Don't go to Leicester, they're crap!' - Gerrard's advice to young Galaxy fan

'Don't go to Leicester, they're crap!' - Gerrard's advice to young Galaxy fan
The former Liverpool midfielder advised a Galaxy supporter to pick his old club, Barcelona or Real Madrid over the Foxes, suggesting they were not as good as one might think
LA Galaxy star Steven Gerrard might not be able to show his face around Leicester for some time, after bad-mouthing the Premier League champions to a young fan.
The former Liverpool midfielder took part in a 'ride-along' with the lucky Galaxy supporter, who grilled him on the big issues of the day.
And amid pearls of wisdom on the English weather, Zinedine Zidane and Landon Donovan, Gerrard was horrified when his guest stated he would love to play for the Foxes.
"Leicester?! Why?! What about Liverpool?" he exclaimed in astonishment.
"Or Barcelona, or Real Madrid, don't go to Leicester, they're crap!"
We will have to wait and see what Claudio Ranieri's reaction to the video will be, although it might well reference the fact his "crap" club has one more Premier League title than Gerrard and Liverpool can boast.

Wenger: Arsenal Closing On A New Signing

Wenger: Arsenal are close to a new signing

The Gunners boss says he is fed up with the transfer speculation surrounding his club and says he will only spend money on the right players this summer
Arsene Wenger has revealed Arsenal are close to bringing in a new signing following the Gunners' 0-0 draw with Leicester City on Saturday.
The result leaves Arsenal without a win after two games having lost their opening fixture against Liverpool at the Emirates.
"Yes we are close," he told BT Sport. "But I would say spending in itself is not a quality. Spending and buying the right players is a quality.
"I am a bit fed up to always respond to the same things. We look and analyse absolutely everything and we have to make the right decisions."
Wenger also praised new signing Rob Holding who started alongside Laurent Koscielny in central defence and helped the Gunners keep a clean sheet at the home of the champions.
“Nobody speaks about the performance of Rob Holding today - he is English, he is 20 years old, you should be happy. But I am sorry he didn't cost £55m so it cannot be good,” he added.“That is, for me, what is most disappointing – we don’t speak about the performances of the players anymore. We just speak about anything else but football and I believe it is not right.”

Two Or Three Clubs Could Tempt Me From Leicester

Mahrez: 'Two or three' clubs could tempt me from Leicester

The Algeria international has been linked with the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea this summer and suggested he wants to stay in the Premier League

Leicester City winger Riyad Mahrez has hinted that "two or three" clubs could tempt him away from the King Power Stadium.
The PFA Player of the Year's future remains uncertain heading into the final weeks of the transfer window, with Arsenal and Chelsea continuing to be linked with his signature.
And Mahrez has suggested he would like to stay in the Premier League, but refused to be drawn on which clubs he might like to join in the future.

"It is a super league and I would like to stay here as long as possible," he told France Football.
"Now, there are two or three clubs in the world, that if they come for me, it definitely makes you think, if you understand what I am trying to say."

Who Will The English Premier League?

                                      THE PREMIER LEAGUE PREVIEW

The premier league 2016\2017 Season kicks off on the 13th of August, we certainly will be seeing new faces in the EPL this Season.
Some teams looks prepared to may have brought some signings to play a major role in the squad. Manchester United looks prepared to have  Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Mkhitaryan, Bailly and the man bought with the world record fee worth 89m Euros, Paul Pogba from Juventus. And they also have Jose Mourihno to Manage the team, The Red Devils should be watched out for.

Liverpool also have brought some new faces to the squad Matip, Klavan, Karius and Mane from Southampton and Jurgen Kloop is doing a great job with the Club reaching two Finals in his first tenure as manager of the club and they are expected to perform better since they won't be participating in the Europa and Champions League this season.

Chelsea happen to have Conte as the Manager and completed the signing of Kante from the Premier League Champions Leicester City and Batshuayi from Marseille. They performed not as expected last season which led to the sack of Jose Mourihno, so much is expected from them this season they also won't be featured in the Champions League.

Manchester CIty are also contenders for the title having signed Borussia Dortmund star Iker Gundogan, Stones from Everton, Sane, Nolito and Mooy and the former Barcelona and Bayern Munich Manager, Pep Guardiola  as the Manager of  Manchester City, so much is expected from the  manager and club.
Arsenal on the otherside doesn't look prepared failing to complete some signings only able to sign Xhaka from Borussia Mochengladbach, They were  speculations of Mahrez of Leicester City joining Arsenal but still nothing yet and they also have injured players, But Arsene Wenger assures fan that some players would be joining the club before the transfer window closes.

Lets also not forget the Champions Leicester City who perform brillantly last season hopefully they would keep it that way this time around and they will be involved in Champions League football. Thier pre-season football is not what thier fans would want from them this season with losing 4 - 0 to PSG, 4 - 2 to Barcelona  and they also lost the Community Shield to Jose Mourihno's side, Manchester United with the new signing Zlatan Ibrahimovic heading in the winning goal in the die minutes of the game.

Tottenham hotspur has always been a problem for the top teams in the Epl,so they also to be watched out for. They will be playing in the Champions League and hopefully they would perform better than last season.

Who do you think will be the winner of the English Premier League this season?

leave a comment of your prediction....

Ibrahimovic Leads Manchester United to Community-Shield Glory

The Swedish striker backed up all of his talk by delivering the Community Shield-winning goal at Wembley to cap a great day for the Red Devils and their new manager

"He's a winner, I'm a winner and we know both what we want. We want to win. Wherever we go, we win. And we will win."
Zlatan Ibrahimovic arrived at Manchester United making big promises about what a team with him in attack and Jose Mourinho on the bench might be able to achieve. One game in, he looks more than ready to fulfil his side of the bargain.
With the Community Shield game against Leicester City finely poised at 1-1 and only seven minutes left on the clock, the giant Swede showed that he is more than just bluster. After Antonio Valencia found space to send in a dangerous cross, Ibrahimovic rose high to get just enough contact on his header as the ball evaded Kasper Schmeichel and dropped in off the far post.
It was typical Ibra in many ways. He hadn't had the most effective of games, partly cursed by United's lack of verve in the attacking third at times, but he had the final say. That's just the way that Ibrahimovic and Mourinho like it.
After the match, Ibra's team-mates formed a queue to congratulate and thank him in equal measure. They know that they are lucky to have him and realise the difference that he may well make to this Manchester United side.
United had already held the lead once but initially let it escape. Their opening goal was scored by the same man who scored the final goal of the Louis van Gaal era in the same net to win the FA Cup - but it had quite a different feel about it.
Jesse Lingard showed the sort of urgency which, for long periods of last season, was sadly lacking as he burst beyond four defenders and slotted past Schmeichel to give United the lead after half an hour. The winger's inclusion in the starting XI ahead of Henrikh Mkhitaryan had come as a surprise to some but his goal offered a great example of some of the attacking verve that should be far more apparent this term under Mourinho.

One issue which was particularly divisive under Van Gaal was the regular inclusion of Marouane Fellaini and Mourinho's decision to stick by the much-maligned Belgian backfired somewhat early in the second half. Just as United appeared to have broken up a threatening Leicester move, Fellaini badly mishit a backpass to David de Gea, allowing Jamie Vardy to intercept before taking the ball around the Spaniard and slotting home expertly.
Fellaini's involvement wasn't the only trace of the Van Gaal era left on proceedings. United often bossed possession without making anything of it, while Wayne Rooney's lethargy in the final third was an issue once more. The captain's elevated position of last term will not be replicated by Mourinho and it must be a concern that he could soon find himself used more sparingly if his current form continues.

Overall, though, there were far more positives about United's play. It gave the impression that this will be a much more pleasant side to follow than last term and Mourinho will clearly be ready to make some tough decisions. Having left Mkhitaryan out of the starting lineup, he then introduced him only as a time-wasting exercise a minute from the end of injury time - and even then fuelled the fire around his potential treatment of Juan Mata by substituting the Spaniard half an hour after he himself had arrived as a sub.

Mourinho: Man Utd doing everything to sign Pogba before Premier League starts

Jose Mourinho insists Manchester United are "doing everything" to sign Paul Pogba from Juventus before their Premier League season starts.
The French midfielder has been the subject of this summer's most compelling transfer saga, but United are on the verge of completing a £112 million deal to bring the former Old Trafford youngster back to the club.
And speaking ahead of Sunday's FA Community Shield clash with Leicester City, Mourinho reiterated the club's desire to finalise a deal before United's opening Premier League fixture at Bournemouth on August 14.
"I don’t like to speak about players from other clubs. Other managers like to do that, they like to speak about my clubs, and about my players. Pogba is a Juventus player until officially he isn’t so we stay like this.
"The market closes on August 31 but my club is trying to do everything to close the market by the August 14," he told reporters.

After explaining that he has a desire to work with a first-team squad of 26 in the season ahead, Mourinho added that he has been very happy with the club's deals in the transfer market this summer.
"Our market was good. We made decisions, we decided to bring in four players, not 10. We decided to bring in four players who are Man United level and we think can improve the squad.
"We got a young central defender who needs time to be a top one but has a lot of potential. We bought a creative player, a player who we know the quality he has. We got a super striker, and we are going to get a very good midfield player so we try to give balance. So I am happy with my squad."
United head to Wembley for Sunday's Community Shield in the first competitive game since the Louis van Gaal era, and Mourinho added that it will take some time for his players to get out of habits they learned under the Dutchman.

"My teams are very different to Mr Van Gaal’s teams, that is correct. It is a difficult situation to change a dynamic. It would be easy for me to have 20 new players and to start from zero. For 2 years they had some principles of play which are not my principles, but players will always try to adapt. After two years there are some things in their brain which are automatic, but they are trying. The players are giving everything to try to adapt."
